Definition Betemi columns are cast using a patented shotcreting technique, to produce perfectly round, cylindrical or conical columns of consistent quality. Tapered shapes are also possible.
Description Betemi columns are typically used in facades as one-story load-bearing columns and also for decorative purposes. It is possible to create a number of surface textures by using colored concrete or different types of aggregates, in which case only the final coat has to be of the more expensive material.
